Σε σεμνή τελετή που πραγματοποιήθηκε σήμερα Δευτέρα 28 Σεπτεμβρίου 2026, ο Δήμος Αγίας Νάπας ανακήρυξε τους Βρετανούς Melvyn Beverley και Valerie Emmingham, επί ευκαιρία της συμπλήρωσης των τριανταπέντε επισκέψεών του σε «Πρέσβεις Τουρισμού της πόλης», ως ένδειξη εκτίμησης για τη μακροχρόνια και έμπρακτη αγάπη τους που τρέφουν όλα αυτά τα χρόνια προς την Αγία Νάπα.
Κατά τη διάρκεια της τελετής, η οποία πραγματοποιήθηκε στο χώρο υποδοχής του Δημοτικού Μεγάρου, ο Αντιδήμαρχος του Δημοτικού Διαμερίσματος Αγίας Νάπας κ. Αντώνης Χρίστου, εκ μέρους του Δημάρχου κ. Χρίστου Ζαννέττου, απένειμε στους τιμώμενους αναμνηστική πλακέτα και το επίσημο έμβλημα του «Πρέσβη Τουρισμού».
Ο κ. Χρίστου εξέφρασε τις θερμές ευχαριστίες του Δήμου για την πολυετή εμπιστοσύνη και αγάπη που επιδεικνύουν προς την Αγία Νάπα, τονίζοντας ότι αποτελούν πλέον αναπόσπαστο μέρος της τοπικής κοινωνίας.

Honouring British Couple as «Tourism Ambassadors of Agia Napa» on the οccasion of τheir 35th visit.
At a modest ceremony held today, Monday, 28 September 2026, the Municipality of Agia Napa honoured British couple Melvyn Beverley and Valerie Emmingham on the occasion of their 35th visit, proclaiming them «Tourism Ambassadors of the City» as a token of appreciation for the long-standing and genuine affection they have shown towards Agia Napa over the years.
During the ceremony, which took place in the reception area of the Municipal Hall, the Vice -Mayor of the Municipal Quarter of Agia Napa, Mr Antonis Christou, on behalf of the Mayor, Mr Christos Zannettou, presented the honourees with a commemorative plaque and the official «Tourism Ambassador» emblem.
Mr Christou expressed the Municipality’s warm thanks for their many years of trust and affection towards Agia Napa, stressing that they have now become an integral part of the local community.
